Homegrown.

Green on the Inside was created by Jess Lerner, who saw a growing need for access to comprehensive information about green products, lifestyle, environmental health, and sustainable choices.

Jess specializes in one-on-one consultations, intensive research on social
and environmental issues, and workshops designed to raise awareness about environmental health and personal responsibility. She has worked in
the environmental field for over 7 years, and has researched subjects from land use, conservation and development to sense of place, New England identity, and habitat restoration.

In graduate school, she conducted a series of oral histories to explore values and perceptions about land use and the inner workings of grassroots environmental activists. She also studied environmental health and justice issues, and in her free time began to obsessively research chemicals in personal care products, furnishings, indoor air quality, and the impacts of toxins in our homes and everyday lives.

Green on the Inside was the result, and she is now dedicated to educating people about ecological impact, toxins in our households and workplaces, and the choices we can make to live healthier, sustainable lifestyles. She is deeply committed to helping you find the solutions you need to live a safe, healthy and eco-conscious life, and to share that knowledge with your family. Jess holds a Masters’ degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University. She is an avid and passionate bird watcher.
