            The efficiency of an organization go hand-in-hand with an effective organization, the objective is to demonstrate both concepts that render the senior management team desired results. The purpose for an efficient organization is the methodology to a productive use of resources by the organization that reaches goals by planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the resources to produce products and services. The role of the manager depends solely on how efficient the organization performs in order to detect how successful the outlined objectives are being met accordingly (Williams, 2006).

            The effective methodology for an organization is reaching and obtaining set goals and benchmarks that are effectively utilizing the organization’s resources. The senior management team leading the objective for employees to perform in a strategic and concise effort achieves goals for the desired end result of producing products and services. The today’s organizations are constantly changing to maintaining a competitive edge in the market, in order to staying profitable and as well as keeping internal staff turnovers down. Therefore, the pursuit for an organization to demonstrate both efficiency and effectiveness is to being profitable, excellent brand identity, brand equity, and prestige to attractive additional customers and talented pool of potential employees.

            In the healthcare industry, in which my employer at the Whitsyms Nursing Service and Whitsyms Nursing Registry provides a state licensed nurse registries that are services from Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Homemakers caters to performing efficient and effective services. At Whitsyms Nursing Service and Whitsyms Nursing Registry refers caregivers to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and for individuals in their homes or while on vacations to provide medical needs in a proactive method with care to details. The roles for healthcare professionals are to demonstrate an efficient approach to using resources that are cost awareness for the client as well as the organization. The healthcare professionals must document, monitor, and organized resources that reinforces the outlined agreement between the organization and client. In doing so, the opportunity for returned clients needing medical assistance and healthcare advice produces an effective and efficient organization.

            A similar organization that demonstrates such efficiency and effectiveness is in the food-chain industry such as Publix Incorporated that demonstrates successful strategic measures. The organization caters to customers in an efficient methodology by pricing products that are high quality and informative to the nutritional value. In addition, the staff employees are trained to understanding not only the grocery store floor layout to locate particular products but to “why” and “what” foods are in relation to a healthy lifestyle. The training concept at Publix informs, motivates, and provides top of the line resources for staff employees to achieve the internal goals of the organization that results in efficiency. Respectively, the level of effectiveness to developing a positive brand identity and equity reinforces the competence of management strategic decision making.

            On the other hand, Kroger, demonstrates a lack there of efficiency and effectiveness across their stores that outlined an inconsistency in strategic management. The staff employees are not fully informed of the products and how or why certain products are position within the store that could assist customer, therefore, creating a less than prominent efficient and effective organization. Moreover, the key to implementing successful management in either area of industry of healthcare or food industry is the ability to identify deficiencies that will redirect the organization to a more prominent efficiency and effectiveness.

Chapter 2 – Question 4 & 7

            The most identified Weber and Fayol’s principles are remuneration of personnel, unity of direction, equity, and initiative that provides a strong foundation to creating an ethical organization. The concepts outlined by Weber and Fayol demonstrate the required and needed attributes for an efficient and effective management team and team members. The principles are defined intertwined with the characteristics of motivating, informing, and controlling equally and fairly with profound communication. Therefore, the attributes of an effective organization with ethical standards are obtainable with a formidable plan to execute the organizational structural behavior. The complexity of the management leadership style influences the ethical theory approach to provide the necessity to a productive organization. The applied applications towards creating a successful organization outline a fundamental aspect to the internal staff employee’s behavior to a desired behavior outcome. In relation to the code of conduct and code of ethics of the organization, the listed principles are a professional course of action that instills willing participants of employees to conduct themselves accordingly.

            Respectively, the management team will certainly benefit in the outcome of positively motivated employee staff that will produces an ethical organization structure for meeting internal goals and initiatives to their clients. In the healthcare filed, the ability to demonstrate professionalism in confidential information of patients is critical to creating an ethical organization. This approach presents a safe, legal, and cohesive organized environment that produces an efficient organization within the community. The ethical perspective on organizational structures encourages the research theory of applied applications that can be monitored to a safeguard against harmful consequences to the organizational, for instance, in legal lawsuits if the employee staff does not follow proper ethical protocol handling sensitive information. Therefore, the desired results are to merit a fundamental respect both to the management team as well as to employee staff that is within the context of a utilitarianism perspective from the central ethical problem.

            In regards to the mechanistic and organic structures the differences are important in accessing which particular organizations are relevant to either approach that will promote a strong and successful establishment. The mechanistic structure approach is a centralized methodology on identified tasks and rules are specified with employees that are closely supervised. This concept can work well with organizations that are complex, large, and diversified both domestically and internationally. The AT&T enterprises present a good example of such an organization that provides telecommunications for businesses and customers to produce products and services. The many different departments that make up the production of the products and services along with processing the administration aspects that works well with the mechanistic structure approach (Mantel, Meredith, Shafer, and Sutton, 2008).

            In the organic structure approach is the decentralized to middle and first line managers and tasks and roles are left ambiguous to encourage staff to cooperate and respond quickly to the unexpected. The organic structure applies more towards the specialized healthcare industry such as my employer at Whitsyms that must demonstrate a focused directive to the un-expectancy of medical needs. The staff decision making process is imperative to a true virtue aspect of dealing with the customer base that presents how the management style is formulated. Conversely, the attributes of either structures approach are determined on the mission of reaching the goals of the organization that renders the desired results both short term and long term.
