Donald John Trump (June 14, 1946 , Queens, NY , USA) is an American businessman and known personality on television and writer. He also is president of Trump Organization, a major construction company in the United States and founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts, which operates numerous casinos and hotels worldwide. Trump became a celebrity thanks to the extravagant lifestyle and frank communication style.

He has his own show, The Celebrity Apprentice where he is an executive producer and a presenter.

Trump started his business with renovation the Commodore, then he built his first Trump Tower in New York, and implemented other housing projects. Soon he decided to try his hand in the airline (acquired Eastern Shuttle company) and in gambling in Atlantic City, where he bought several casinos, including owned by Crosby family unfinished Taj Mahal, which was on the verge of bankruptcy. This expansion, which is partly funded through the Trump personal bank loans, has led to significant debts that he could no longer pay.

In the early 1990s, there was much talk about Trump’s financial problems in the American press, which his creditor banks agreed to provide to him and his affair with Marla Maples, the consequence of which was his divorce from his first wife, Ivana Trump.

In the late 1990s, Trump again achieved financial success and public recognition. In 1997, began the construction of the Riverside South along the Hudson River. In 2001, he completed the construction of the Trump World Tower, which is a 72-storey residential skyscraper in front of the UN headquarters. He owns the retail space in the International Hotel and Tower Trump – a 44-storey mixed (hotel and condominium) skyscraper at Columbus. Trump currently owns several million square meters of the best real estate in Manhattan and remains an important figure in the U.S. real estate market and celebrity through their influence through the media.

Trump wanted to buy the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest to make it the largest casino in the world, but his offer was declined.

In September 2010, Donald Trump said in an interview to Fox News, that he “seriously considering” the possibility of running for the U.S. presidency in 2012. In the 2008 election, Trump supported the Republican candidate John McCain, who eventually lost to Democrat Barack Obama.

Since 2005, he is the official spokesperson for the marketing company ACN Inc. network.

In 1977, he married Ivana Zelni?kova and together they have three children. The couple divorced in 1992.

In 1993, he married Marla Maples and together they have a daughter. They divorced June 8, 1999.

Since 22 January 2005, he is married to Melania Knauss with whom he has a son.
